Each year, the @URhinoProject invites a select group to participate in a special rhino rescue conservation safari as part of our fundraising efforts to combat rhino poaching in South Africa. This exclusive opportunity is for those who are committed to wildlife conservation and wish to experience our efforts first-hand. You have the option to join as a paying guest, contributing directly to the costs of the operations, or you can apply for sponsorship if financial constraints prevent you from participating.

We carefully choose participants who demonstrate a sincere interest in supporting our mission and who can become ambassadors for rhino conservation. This journey isn’t just about seeing rhinos in their natural habitat—it’s about becoming a crucial part of the fight to save them. Whether you contribute financially or through advocacy, you play a vital role in our ongoing battle against poaching.

Each mission is meticulously planned, taking you deep into protected reserves where you’ll work alongside seasoned conservationists, researchers, and local communities. These immersive experiences are designed to give you hands-on involvement in rhino conservation efforts, including medical check-ups, DNA sampling, horn trimming, and ear notching.

Who Can Join

This mission is open to anyone passionate about wildlife conservation. No prior experience in conservation is required, though participants should be physically fit and ready for outdoor activities. You can join as a paying guest or apply for sponsorship if financial constraints are a concern. We are looking for individuals who are deeply committed to our cause and can act as ambassadors in the fight against rhino poaching.

Your contributions will fund the following:

Veterinarian fees
Helicopter and pilot fees to track the rhinos at the highest risk of being poached.
Ground support teams.
Costs associated with ear notching and tagging the rhinos for identification and tracking purposes.
Lodging costs for yourself and team members.
Medical supplies, milk, vitamins etc. for baby orphaned rhinos injured by poachers.
24-hour security patrols around the reserve parameters to safeguard the rhinos from poachers.
Costs to subsidize local and international volunteers.
